	Laurel Champion started at The Ann Arbor News on Nov. 26, 2001, as an Assistant to the Publisher. In 2005, she became publisher of the Ann Arbor News. She was elected to C.O.P.E.’s Board of Directors on September 12, 2003. Ms. Champion serves as a valuable resource in areas relating to the media. C.O.P.E.
