Karna Doyle comes to COPE with a host of expertise. As a Concordia University professor in Family Studies, she understands the dynamic many of our kids face. As a parent of 5, and foster parent to over 30 children, she clearly brings a passionate commitment to COPE’s mission. Her resume and biography are impressive. She received Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Eastern Michigan University in Sociology/Psychology, and is just a dissertation shy of her Ph.D. in Family and Child Ecology from Michigan State University. Her volunteer and service experiences span more than 35 years and many areas of service involving family and youth. More than anything, Karna understands COPE intimately, as her youngest son was a student several years ago. COPE is fortunate to have Karna join our prestigious board of directors.

COPE Quote“My impression is that COPE provides an opportunity for students who are otherwise “falling through the cracks”.  COPE’s dedicated staff and the individual attention they provide can really make the difference in their young students’ lives with lifelong consequences for both the students and society.”
